Why don't you spam-moderators just stop deleting spam?
That way the forum will quickly get swamped with the crap and LM will be forced to take action, install updates, fixes and other spam-control thingies.
Right now it seems like LM have stopped caring, putting it on you guys to fix his problem.

Mike or Fahim needs to very urgent action over IP 203.121.69.153 - this account under multiple aliases has posted over 60 posts today.

If its not banned then I don't see too much point in cleaning out the forum 3-4 times a dayfrom the same auto-poster - over two hours work lost today doing that.

Alas, the world if full of people with misguided ideas and feelings, and try to do whatever it takes to wreak as much havoc as they can. I hope something can be done to block these people from using this forum, if not by an IP block, than through their ISP, by suspending their internet access indefinitely.

Actually I think that might be false info he posted - I reported him for that. I think they do that do deflect some of the hate mail. I did some further digging and I think this is his real name http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtop ... 6&start=60 The name 'Vladamir Tupin' seems to be some famous(?) gay actor or something like that.

A silly idea to the moderators. Instead of delete the spam move them to SPAM Bucket. Perhaps they feel there at home

Until Mike (the only andmisitrator) blocks the IP address, we are stuck with 60 spam posts an hour. We clean it out, it comes back.

Today is an awful day. The spammers have been spamming about 2 or 3 posts per minute. It is impossible to mark all topics read...

It is possible to remove the account to anyone that have posted any internet link with pornography or it's homepage is prepared to insert a troyan or virus into the reader PC computer?

I think it is not a freedom reduction it is only a self protection. It is totally legal to include those clauses into the register agreement that prevent to new users that if pornography or other kind of stuff is done while the use of the forum their account will be deleted. Althoough they do not post any post never. If they have an offensive homewebin their profile the account will be deleted. I think in such way we will reduce automatic spammers.

I think that people that uses this forum legally (new users and of course old ones) are the main support of AS/Moho. The amount of great people making scripts, showing new tips and helping new users, are one invaluable treasure.

The damage that spammers are doing to the forum (and finally to e-frontier and its Anime Studio) IS SO HIGH. New legal forum users will be pissed off and finally will abandon the idea of try AS or even buy it. It is not only the offensive posts and the possibility that a child can access to that, it is that the forum is getting UNREADABLE. Really very annoying. Really very.

Moderators and Administrators: If something could be done from my side, please let me know. I'll do all my best.

With this modification, Administrator can legaly delete the account of A LOT OF SPAMMERS who have an account and are waiting their opportunity. For old users it could be enough to send to them a PM advertising them that if they not remove the offensive link in a period of time, their accoun will be removed. It sound a little hard but it is the only way.

I was made a moderator with thread deletion powers at the Drowtales forum when it was having trouble with not spammers but abusive people from a popular image posting BBS who thought it would be fun to drown the forum under floods of nonsensical, inappropriate, and pornographic posts. I didn't have the ability to delete abusive users, but that would be useful here, more so than deleting individual posts.

What really made the difference was when Kern switched from automatic registration to registration that must be approved by the admin. I know that's been discussed here before, but I recommend it.

BTW, there's no need to jump through legal hoops to delete spammers. This is not the open air, this is a forum owned and hosted by an individual. While we are in his house, we must obey his rules, or he has every right to kick us out. So spammers do not have any legal protection here.

Just a quick note here, just saw a spam message that has actually got spammed, this is becoming a bit ridiculous and I am sure many legitimate messages are lost because of this situation.

We need only a subforum for guest,s faq, question about demo etc
While in all the other forums , the posting should be allowed only for the animators.
Make an animation with As and you allowed to post in the all the subforums.

In this way , only serious costumers will post here and the spammer get fucked as he deserve.
