its understandable the time you are taking giving the advanced complexity of your work. wish u good luck too. About the last update on your animation. i think the others are right about the head squash animation. its kind of making the head feel a bit like jelly. perhaps you could shorten the frames the squash and stretch happens.

@ziggypaw -- Thanks!
@lwaxana -- Good to hear from you, my friend. Hope all is well.
@Acesonnall -- The upper image was done in ArtRage. The lower image was hand traced in AS. Thanks for your comments on youtube. I'll try to incorporate as much as I can in the final version.
@3deeguy -- The leaf texture done as a stroke with image texture, but I found that it "crawls" when I zoomed in, so I ended up rendering in out and import it back as an image layer (same with the brick texture on the wall).
Thank you all for your comments.

Re: neeters_guy / pikaparody wip
Well, at long last, here is the last update for this project, with Ash capturing a Kakuna for his first adventure.
[link removed]

As wrap up, here are some stats some of you might find interesting.
----------
Characters rigs: 5
Ash-2, Mom, Oak, Kakuna
Backgrounds: 6
Bedroom-2, Lab-3, Forest-1
Props: 2
Pokedex, rope
----------
All together I estimate I spent around 300 hours over 6 months to create a 3-minute animation. This seems consistent with what I've seen what others have posted.
There's nothing like completing a project like this to get a feel for the work it takes to do even a modest animation. A great learning experience to be sure.
Thanks for all the feedback. Be sure to check out the final animation, with all the super voice talent, when PikaParody posts it.

Excellent work. I like the attention to detail like the animation on the jacket. The whole thing looks great!
