I didn't really need the copy/paste bones when I created the bone mastering script.

I usually just make a duplicate of the layer..

However... in some cases... I had two different bone layers... one for hands... or one for the head... or something like that.

I needed to add those bones to a master bone layer... so the copy/paste bones was perfect for this.

I could copy all the bones from multiple different bone layers into one master bone. Since the names stayed the same it worked like a charm.

I apolgize for never getting the bone/mastering scripts to work with just one script. I beat my head against it for a while and it was just over my head.

If Tha Narie has that version of the script lying about I would like it to see it as well.

TheNarie,

Any possible chance of publishing the master control script as well as the copy/paste scripts in a single downloadable file? Preferably with some instructions on how to use?

Sure would be super swell... I'll be yer best friend... heh heh heh

I am bumping this thread just in case ThaNarie checks in since I have been working on his copy bones script. My concern is if he is doing the same things I am.

I don't know exactly where I should post the modified version when it's finished. Probably in my other thread on this topic.

Anyway, I am working on or achieved a few things that make this script a tad more usable.

I created an alternate paste bones script that reorders bones by name alphabetically. I am thinking of adding that in as an option on the copy bones script.

I completely redesigned the layout of the pop up to maximize the use of the space. It worked fine with a small list of bones, but with a large list there is a lot of wasted space. Now I can almost fit 160 bones in the window... almost. I will need to expand one more column.

This is fine because I can move the window side to side to get to the full list of bones and the okay/cancel buttons and other options, but if the list is LONG (up and down) can't reach them. Also I am going to reduce the number of bones and go with shorter names to save space.

I wish I could use a scroll text box for this but it doesn't allow multiple selections. I may use it anyway. I can have multiple scrolling text windows that change based on bones selected. Like clicking a bone in one box adds it to another etc. This will allow for ANY number of bones and the window will always be the same size.
