If you're interested here's the swf file:

http://www.wienertoonz.com/ball.swf

When played in IE It will probably look like the ball is constantly moving across screen but if you hit refresh the ball will stop...if you move the mouse onto the screen the ball animation will play.
I was trying to compile this swf into a FULL SCREEN PROJECTOR with a transparent background. Maybe you could give it a try for me in Zinc to see if you can get the compiled exe to work on your desktop?

Cheers

Doesn't work here either. Did you create the shape using actionscript?

Hi J. Thanks for testing that. The shape is simply a hand drawn graphic done in Flash and converted to a movie clip. Just the standard proceedure. Darn strange how two seperate apps could have the same bug??? It's how my luck generally goes.... tripping over a huge bug on my first try at some software app that I'm really excited about and want to work desperately :(

I believe I know what the problem is. The ball doesn't start until the mouse is over the flash area. Such as a window projector or IE. But since the projector in transparent, it never starts. As there's nothing for "mouse over". Did you use this in your script?

Hi J. I used the "onMouseMove" action which should trigger the animation to play when the mouse is moved anywhere on the screen. What is strange is that it works perfectly in both the Swish and Zinc preview windows. Your idea is interesting. Is there a way to set the background Transparency to 99%? That 1 % may be enough to hold the animation and the code together.

I think so. Re-create your ball animation in Flash 8 but with a background with 99% transparency. Now create a full screen transparent projector. It should work, I think.

Hey....I GOT IT TO WORK IN SWISH!!!!....i was playing the wrong exe...lol. (As you can imagine i've created a million of them).

One thing though, I can't get the Swish projector to create a file that will fit so that the ball starts outside the monitor. Did yours play from outside the monitor? What settings did you have. I need this to be a generic setting so that the animation will fit on all types of screens..

Cheers
