Not sure why this doesnt work in ASP 6 because it was easy in previous versions.
If you wanted to animate layer opacity, all you used to have to do is move to a particular frame, then change the opacity value in the layer options and it would create a keyframe on the time line.
This no longer happens in ASP6. Changing the opacity value only changes the value for the entire duration.

Your missing the new check box just above 'animate layer opacity'

Why would anyone need to have a box to turn on this feature, I have no clue. There should have been 'Clear animated layer opacity' Now that would be useful.
