If I were you I would create a new file and open both in a text editor and make a comparison of the header. Depending on how many is corrupted it can be recovered or not.

What does it say after "Bad file header"? Sometimes it will show the offending text. Did you create this file or download it?

Hmm. I've seen this error when I tried to use MSWord to edit anme files. Despite being saved to "plain text", the encoding damaged the file for some reason (ie., Bad file header). So I only use notepad or SciTe if I need to peek or edit the file.

I assume this isn't the case here, so Genete's suggestion seems to be the best option.

Sorry, that's all I got.
