KeyFraming Specific Axis Without Effecting Other Timelines

Hey, guys!
Hope the question isn't too confusing. I keep running into the issue of trying to animate a specific axis without effecting the others. For instance, if I just want to add a keyframe to the X axis without effecting the Y axis. This can be extremely frustrating especially if I had just cleaned up the animation for one of the axis and I want the other one to move more independently. Muting each axis doesn't seem to work because every new keyframe I insert it seems to create a new keyframe in the other axis.
I would also love to figure out how to jump to the keyframes on the specific bone selected as opposed to every keyframe that is within existence of my Moho file lol.
Thanks again!
