The $100,000 Animation Drawing Course

Has anyone else seen or taken advantage of this?-

I'm having a go at it- I can get pretty good results when I'm drawing the characters from the lessons- but I still suck at applying the method to create original characters. I'm 25 so hopefully I'm not too "stuck in my ways" to become a really great cartoonist.
What do you guys think about applying this animation technique to animating in AS? Obviously this material is geared more towards traditional cell-animation stuff- but maybe a simple bone rig and lots of morphing could get you close? I did some of the drawings in Mike Smith's tweenmaker software (not my characters- hope these are okay to post as I'm new to the forum):
