Hi, guys! I sure don't want to argue. After all, we're not here to talk about religion, but rather animation. Jorgy, I'd be happy to answer your question but perhaps a private message would be more suitable lest we fill up the forum with more non-animation-related discussion. Just let me know. By th...

Go for it, Vern! Freedom of choice is a wonderful thing. Um, what if you're wrong?

You can do that one, riotcrue. Since none of us were there when it all began I guess it's up to each person's individual choice. I prefer the God created man instantly from dirt as opposed to the big bang producing everything and eventually life emerging from primordial soup. As the professor says, ...

JibJab style animation

http://media.putfile.com/Happy-Birthday-74 I did this one for my daughter's birthday. The background is done in Xara Xtreme and the cutout parts were from photos imported into Xtreme. I outlined the various parts with the Freehand Tool, then selected the outline and the photo and did an Intersect Sh...

Wow! Thanks for all the nice comments! I had wanted to change the ending a bit, but it was going to take too much time and I had already worked on it for over a week during my spare minutes here and there. The alternative ending would have been during the second transformation. Rather than just havi...

Thanks for all your trouble, Myles! You really are a source of info and help! I tried out Flash and it works quite well without having to fiddle a whole lot. I had tried SwishMax and it choked on my tiny SWF files. But Macromedia, or should I say, Adobe Macromedia Flash worked fine.

Thanks, J! I think I will try a mask in Moho so I don't have to take care of this issue in Flash.

Crop extra image from Flash exported file

When I export an animation to Flash, it exports the entire animation inside AND outside of the image area I set up for the project. How do I crop this area out? For example, my Flash player initially shows only the image area. However, if you drag the left and right border of the window, you can see...

Thanks, Myles! I'll give it a try. How does it handle the soundtrack? Since I am using the audio track of a song, I guess I would split it up for each segment. On the final composite file, can I add the complete audio so there are no skips or gaps?

Thanks, Cribble! I have SwishMax, what are the settings I need to select to import each SWF file? I've tried and couple of things and it just crashed SM.

How to put together several Flash scenes

I am working on making an animation to go along with a 3 minute song. I want to do the various scenes as individual Moho files and export them to Flash. How would I put them all together into a single Flash file? What would be the best software for this?

Try Wings 3D. It's freeware and I've seen some amazing stuff done with it. Personally, I use Silo 3D, but it is Shareware.

You can find Wings at http://www.wings3d.com/.

I'm new here, just starting out. I just had a few emails back and forth with "Squeakydave" on this very topic. It seems that TBS doesn't use bones put rather pivot points, unless you want their more expensive version of their animation programs.

So it seems that Moho is the way to go!
