poor documentation
I've spent a lot of hours working on my first animation project in Moho. It has been so time-consuming and experimental because the documentation is poor, even as it is extensive. I was a commercial product software developer for 20 years. I've been a technical and science writer for 40 years. My co...

follow path
Page 136 of the user manual has an inscrutable description of how to use "follow path." I'd really appreciate a step-by-step description of how to get "follow path" working. What I have: 1) a layer with a path (made using the freehand tool); 2) a layer with a complex object (that...

Re: make an object or layer suddenly appear
The answer appears to be: use the sequencer (p. 344 of the Moho 13 user manual).

make an object or layer suddenly appear
How to make an object or layer appear at a certain keyframe? I want the object/layer to be invisible until a certain keyframe, then have the object/layer appear and transform the object in subsequent frames. (I couldn't find this in either user or tutorial manual.)

Re: gradient shading changing as object moves
When moving an object with gradient shading, the shading changes. For example, at frame 0, object looks right. Set to frame 10, move object. Object coloration changes. What is going on? Thanks. Figured out that what should be done: transform the layer with the object in it (rather than physically m...

Re: gradient shading changing as object moves
Gradients inside of vectors work the same way image layers. That means they move following the bones' strength. Many times, the best solution is to: - add strength to the bones (if they don't have any) - set which bones should move each layer with the 'Use selected bones for flexi-binding' option u...

When moving an object with gradient shading, the shading changes. For example, at frame 0, object looks right. Set to frame 10, move object. Object coloration changes. What is going on? Thanks. What is going on is that the gradient controls are not moving. Is this a bug (why would this be a feature...

Re: switch layer bone manipulation for lip syncing
I'm still hoping for an answer I can understand. The lip sync tutorial character (5.1) has no bones. Is is possible to use bones within a switch layer for lip syncing? How? Any pointers appreciated. It's possible to mix many tools for many reasons, including lip sync. These techniques normally use ...

Re: switch layer bone manipulation for lip syncing
Am trying to create lip syncing using a switch layer. How do I manipulate a bone so that it holds for a sub-layer? (I know that "manipulate bones" is only for testing at frame 0.) There is a mention in the manual of "rotate bone," but no mention of how to do that, or exactly wha...

scene transition
How to transition from one scene to another? It's a general question - nothing in the manual about it that I found. Nice if various transition effects could be made.

bones - distort shapes downward (e.g., open a mouth)
How do you set/bind bones to distort a shape downwards, such as opening a mouth? I don't want the shape to rotate. I want the shape to extend from the lower center, or from the right & left edges. Thanks.
