Hey Everyone, I'm new to MOHO and I have a few questions if you don't mind answering them for me, thank you.
I'm on Mac OS X
1) I've tried doing some drawing in MOHO and Its good and all... But I've seen some animations in the gallery where the drawings are just AMAZING. One in particular is the Born to Draw by Tim Nordin Now do you think he drew the cowboy in MOHO or was there another program used? I would like to draw people and places like that but don't know how.
2) I have a picture of my friend's face that I have imported into MOHO. Now, i want to be able to move his lips so that he can talk. How do I move only a section of the picture (his lips).?
3) What are Bones? I know they have soemthing to do with animating.
4) The tutorials that comes with the program don't seem to work right for me. i mean, when i open them, they just open up a picture in MOHO... its not really a tutorial on HOW to make something like that.... Does anyone know a place where I can get some tutorials so that I can start learning this thing?
5) MOHO looks pretty easy to learn. But how long do you think it would take me to learn something as complex as Born to Draw animation I saw in the gallery?
Thank you all for your help in Advance.

What is that?
The tutorials that come with Moho are very good.
Start with Tutorial 1.0 and work your way through - do not skip any or skip ahead.
When I first started with Moho it took me about 3-4 hours to go through all the tutorials. Once I was done I could do just about anything in Moho (but still refer back to them regularly). But then it takes lots and lots of practice and testing and experimenting to get things to work how one wants them and the effect or animation movement one wants to achieve.
I had no problems with the Moho tutorial files and Moho tutorials as you mentioned in your point 4. Just read along and they all work fine. For Moho being a fairly complicated program, the tutorials really explain things nicely.
Regarding the Born to Draw animation - tough to say how long it took - from his website it says it was drawn using Moho 3 (we are now in Moho 5). Perhaps he is a forum visitor and can tell us all.
Regarding your question 5 - Moho is easy to learn, but it takes lots of different skills and talents to make something that is good. And many, many hours of practice and experimenting.
Your Question 3 - What are bones? Chapter 3 of the Tutorials.
Work your way through the tutorials then start to work! Moho is fun to do animations with.
Just my 2 cents. I am sure others have other experiences and comments.

.
these are just the tutorial referance files, to be used in conjunction with the actual tutorials.
the actual tutorials are found by clicking help>help..
this opens moho tutorials and help file.
run thru each a couple of times and youll have a good enough grasp to begin
btw - im using ver 4.6 so if its different with ver 5 someone else will let me know.

Blessings for you, but none for me....
In Moho 5 you get to the Tutorials by going to the the top menu line and selecting "Help", then again "Help" .
Then when the new window opens one chooses the Tutorial section in the left hand column.
There are 6 different chapters.
This is the Windows version, I don´t know if the Mac version is different.
