Exporting .avi

Post by Datawraith »

I've had this problem before but it came back and I can't fix it. I need to export a video in .avi but Anime Studio does the "save as" thing and when I click save, the render screen pops up and goes away after a second.

It doesn't give me the "select codec" option or anything. it just goes straight on to render and exits. I cannot export in .mov or anything like that because our tricaster will not support anything else but .avi

I don't want to use a converter because I'll lose too much quality (This is important because we're broadcasting live)

How do I fix this?

This happens when you haven't closed the media player that played the previously rendered avi (same with quicktime). Make sure you quit the player and try again.

I had this happen a few times also, It usually happens to me if I stop a render before its done and then try to render it again. What usually fixes it for me is to change the name of the anme file and resave it and then try to render again.
