Creating Pixel art in Anime Studio Pro 7

Post by Vercingetorix »

Hi
Is it possible to export a vector animation in AS pro 7 in such a way that it has a line width of only 1 pixel? like how lines are displayed when working in wireframe mode.I have tried exporting using the smallest line width possible but the result is very ugly & contains broken lines & unintented width variation.

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

I don't think so, unless you create a grid of squares, make vector animation, export larger and then resize without antialiasing in another program.

I wrote a similar thread about this probably around a year ago, you could probably search for it, some good suggestions there

Smaller line widths are tricky to render. I suggest you build your scenes in a way everything looks good, then change the project settings to some ridiculous oversize, like 4000 px wide, export as PNG sequence, and batch- reduce those images in Photoshop. The resulting line will be much smoother than what AS renders.

What about disable antialising at the render time?

That doesn't change the line width, nor does it cure inconsistencies in line width.
