changing stroke color

I think I read about this earlier but can't find.

I simply want to change the stroke color on a layer or shape, however you want to look at it. The outline of my object. I can paint bucket for fill but stroke is another story.

Click Select Shape, click the shape, hold the alt key and click the color you want from the color palette.
