Four Mapuche shorts

Post by Víctor Paredes »

Hi, I want to share to you four short in which I worked. This are four shorts of around two minutes each. The character animation work was made by me in AS 6 pro. Design, composition, sound, etc. were made by the rest of the team (credits are on each video) using different softwares.

This shorts would be shown next month on a Mapuche museum on the south of Chile, but I don't know really what will happen now we have a earthquake on the back.
Anyway, the work is finished and I'm really glad to share it with you in youtube HD.

Click on each image to watch them.

Thank you for sharing the English version. The elegant style, animation, and story fit together perfectly. It's truly beautiful work.

I didn't want to use the word beautiful again but I can't think of another to describe these. The lighting effects, especially on the Whales story is jaw dropping. I love them :D

Thank you all for the nice comments. We still have no news about when the museum will be inaugurated or if the build have been destroyed by the earthquake. There is a lot of chaos on the country, sadly, most caused by the mass media paranoia generated with political purposes.

Very good work. And I especially like the graphical style.

(When I was a child I had a book about a Mapuche boy who had a stone instead of his heart, a very dark and mysterious story. The book got lost eventually, but I still remember the strange attraction it caused.)

Like gleeful said, its INSPIRING! Did you make the the backgrounds as well or just the characters? Were the lighting effects done in AS or another program?
