If your movie files are missing the .mov extension, you can add it by double clicking on the on the file name.

Do you have installed quicktime?
have your file or folder names simbols as ñ,á,é,etc?

R:
-Install quicktime on your computer
-Rename the files or folders

Do some tests.

Create something in AS, only 1 second, 1 moving element. Export this as Quicktime. Check if this gets imported again.

Repeat with different codecs, usually all that exports should import as well.

Check your problem file. Open in QT and select "Information", it gives you details about codec, fps, and so on. I bet it's totally different from the files you successfully tested.
