annoying black screen with selection tool

Hello everyone
If I use the selection tool a bit "incorrect" the background turns black(anime studio pro 6). This is kine of annoying.
How can I turn this off?

its still terrible. who has made this up? is it to keep me awake? is it to reset my mind?
ooh btw its only with the lasso tool so it could be a bug.
