HELP! my texture fill wont show up

im creating a character for my film by filling in shapes with texture images but they all of a sudden dont show up the images are just white/black, it comes out in the preview screen but not im my workscreen any more, dont know what button i pressed that changed it in the first place. any help please its my first time using this programme

bottom right corner,above the timeline, display quality button. click on it and make sure shape effect is checked.
