Is there a way to load SVG files into AS?

If you don't have access to software that can generate a different file format, you can try using something like this:

Also, it's worth checking the Inkscape wiki for a list of conversion apps.:

Or this, although it's not free & I don't know much about it (it was suggested in another forum I'm in):

It's basically a dummy printer that can take various document & image file types and convert them to another format by "printing" them on a virtual printer. It's $30 but I think you can download & demo it.
