Vibrating glitch with multi-threaded rendering

Post by Kedric »

When I switched from AS6 to AS8 I had trouble with some vibrating movie files and picture files. I could not figure out why this was because I was using the exact same file from AS6.

Here is a video of the vibrating.

I turned off multi-threaded rendering and it fixed the problem.

Yeah, this has been talked about before viewtopic.php?t=19121

Unfortunately it can happen with single core as well, but mostly in really high resolutions. I've notified Mike (creator of AS) and he's looking in to it.

It happened to me recently on an imported QT file where I wanted a shadow around the clip.

Just got rid of the shadow and it went away.

Have not tried it in 8.0.1 yet, hopefully it will be gone!

Is there any way to start render in non-multithreaded mode by default?
I got the same problem with "vibrating edges" and we need now mass-rendering of projects.
Maybe there are available any options for command line rendering?

Thanks
