noob: How do I save an object in my content library in ASP8

Post by that1guy »

I found a tutorial for ASP6, but things are a little different in 8 and I fail in my attempts.
I place all layers of my object in a group folder and then try the following:

file- save as- program files- smith micro- ASP8- resources- library
and in the library folder I see nothing but icons for the the things in content library. I still tried to save there, but nothing happened.

Easy, select the top layer of your object, open the library, create a new folder if needed, then click the add to library icon.

It will save the object in the selected folder with it's layer's name.

Thank you, G
I tried that rout before but never opened a folder to see that those icons appear only when a folder is selected.
With that in mind, I can only make folders inside of existing folders. Can I make a new icon heading of just my stuff, or at least a new folder under an icon heading?

I do not know of a way to add new main folders, maybe someone else knows a trick to add those.

I just do not use the library other then to get the stuff that comes with ASP for testing, otherwise I just create a folder with sub-folders to manage my projects.

I finally found the path to the library. I'm on WINDOWS 7. I was able to at least get my folder out of the one I created it in so it shows up on top of the default folders. I think you can play with it and make your own thumbnails for your files. Not sure though. here's the path I used.

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Smith Micro\Anime Studio Pro\8\Library
