editing 3d square

Hi,I've just joined the forum and want to know if i can edit the 3d square once I have imported it to the stage? Can I add those nodes to different parts of the shape to pull it into other shapes?
Also I notice a flat shape, once turned into a 3d shape only has editing nodes on the side of the shape it was created in...I can only pull and push the shape adding nodes from the angle i created the shape.
I hope someone can understand what i am saying....
Is there any way around this? does anyone have a really good in depth 3d shape tutorial for this software? the brief tutorial isnt helping much.
Any help would be great.

Hello JohnJJJackson and welcome to the forum.

ASP has very little 3D support, you cant edit imported 3D and the basic 3d stuff is very limited.

You can only edit the basic shape of a 3d lathe or extrude, you can apply a basic mapping to it, but not much else.

I dont know of many 3d tutorials for 3d in ASP, as it is mostly a 2d application.

You might find usefull informations on that thread, maybe there are others I just do not recall!

Thanks very much for this answer, I thought I was going mad not being able to edit shapes properly....I will now rethink how I build my 3d room for my 2d animation....John
