Render = Crash city in Win 7 64bit

I have the same rendering crash on my ASP 8
I'm not using sony vegas..
I have an HD animation with lots of big size PNGs. Try to render quicktime or png sequence and it crashes..\

The workaround I've found is
a) render portions of 1000 frames
b) Uncheck the "Enable multi-threaded rendering"
C) praying...
