What software do you use for editing the movie?
Here's how I do it:
1. I set up the file with the backgrounds ect. 1 file for each peice of dialogue or action (usually about 30 files per scene).
2. I do all the lip syncing for each file and make sure it all works.
3. Then I (or one of my animators) animate the arms, head ect.
4. Then I import the finished animation into a movier editor called iMovie.
So for example, if I wanted Lucky Bob to say "what a nice day", cut to a far off view and have him walk away:
Animation 1: Dialogue
1. I'd put him on the proper background and save it as "animation 1" and start from frame 1.
2. I listen to the sound track and then animate the lips but
nothing else. I then export it to quicktime and import it into iMovie where I line it up with the sound and make sure the lip syncing works.
3. Then I (or one of my animators) animate his arms and head and then I the final stuff into iMovie.
Let's say the animation
ends at frame 10.
Animation 2: Walk away
1. I go to "project settings" then set it like this:
Start Frame: 10
End Frame: 0
2. I animate the walk.
3. Export to Quicktime then import into iMovie.
I hope this isn't too confusing. It's hard to explain over the internet.
