Animated Noise on 2's

Post by maskil »

Hi,

As i'm not an expert in moho so im standing before a problem and can not solve it: I wold like to create noisy outlines/fills of course animated on my character not on 1's but on 2 frames. On the layer settings/vector window i can only switch the buttons on or off to create the noise, but i can't find the timing possibilities for it. Not even on the timeline. What can i do? Can anybody help me please?

Either create the noise on ones and delete every other keyframe or create them on ones and rescale the keyframes.

Thanks, but i don't know, this method seems too slow. Maybe there is a possibility to retime the whole animation to 2's? (because now i think if i have animation on 1's and the fx on 2's then the fx will pop) Or do you have any idea to cheat the render? - rendering on double frame rate (50fps), then delete all second frames and doubles the rest?

That would still put everything on 2's. This seems like one that would be better done with a quick little script. Wouldn't be hard to write at all. Deleting every other keyframe of a certain type should be pretty simple. Sorry, don't have time right now to do it meself.

That won't work, noisy outlines are not animatable. You can't create a key frame for them, there's no "noisy outlines" channel to put the keyframes in. I looked.

The only way to do it would be to use the "noise" tool in the drawing tools palette, i.e. rough up your artwork by hand in every other frame. Which is really time consuming, but there you are. I asked for more control over noisy outlines/fills in the features request forum.

Note, the noise tool requires a lot of control points to work on. The noisy outlines feature doesn't care how many control points there are in your shape, but the noise tool only moves your control points in random directions by random amounts.
