movement along a curve, is it possible in Moho

Post by ricow »

Hi,

I have searched a bit in the previous messages but couldn't find a clear answer to my question.
I look for a feature similar to what can be done in Flash, attaching a shape to a curve, defining the sart and end points and let the soft take care of the movements in between.

Thanks for your help!

Not exactly. You should be able to see a motion path created when you translate an object. By adding extra keys you can make that path go where you want it. Different from the Flash feature but it does the same job - you just draw the curve later in the sequence.

Thanks!
However, the flash features allows to simply program a movement along a curve with only 2 frames to tune. In the Mofo one, the curve drawn by layer move is only a result f the movement, not the guide of it.
However, I will do in another way!

Yeah. It is just another way to do the same thing.
Moho has its own ways and reasons for doing things and can be a little strange if you are used to another app.

In the past I wrote this in the Feature Request forum, but nobody take it seriously... Is that the thing that you are reffering?
Ramón López wrote:What about "Spatial Keyframe Interpolation" for layers path in Main Window or Editing View? In this feature request forum we've talk enought about keyframe bezier interpolation in Time Line, yes... but I've not heard nothing about "Spatial Keyframe Interpolation" in editing view for Layers Movement (actually interpolation method is the same for both, time and space), and I think that SEPARATED time/space interpolation (like After Effects or any other animation program) is esential for can animate perfectly with the MINIMUM number of keys, that is the best way to animate... What do you think?

I'd agree with that feature request! Don't know how I missed it.
I'm sure LM probably has it on the list.

Here's another option:

You can create a curve and copy to a layer's translation (but not an individual shape).

The scripts and instructions are here:

See: "Copy Selected Curve" and "Paste Curve to Layer Translation" scripts and instructions.

You're welcome.

Also, you can now use the "Copy Selected Curve" and "Paste Curve To Points Position" to move a shape (or set of points) along a curve - including rotate to face path.

See this example:

See the scripts and instructions here:
