I seem to have discovered some kind of glitch, or else I did something wrong and I can't figure out how to fix it.
I needed to go back and adjust the position of one of the bones in my character's head. I went back to frame 0 to make the changes. Normally, when you do that, the bones all snap back to the starting position where they were created, but they aren't doing that. They remain at the frame 1 position, where I put them with the Offset Bones tool, at least visually. So, I can't edit them because they aren't where they appear to be. It seems they're where they should be, but they're being displayed in the wrong place.
My other character's bones are working fine.
I would upload the anime file, but I'm not sure how to do that here.
I'm using ASP 8.2 on Windows XP
Thanks!

If it's the same problem described here:
Bones only appearing in offset positions - help please
Go to your sequencer tab and try shifting the track to the right one frame or so and see if that fixes the problem.

Yes, I figured that out after posting.
Earlier, I used scale all animation to lengthen the whole thing. This moved things in a strange way so that at frame 1 my character was still invisible, so to fix this, I used the sequencer to slide that character back a couple of frames.
Yes, when I slide it back to the original position, the bones all appear in the correct place, but the character's shapes are invisible, so I still can't really edit it.
Thanks!

Here's the link to a movie file of the rendered scene.
Notice the cut across his face. I can't see what's causing that. The path line does not cross, and I have moved the points around to try and fix it.
