Very cool. A bit morbid, but extremely cool. Is their audio? I'm never quite sure if my computer is messed up or it's just a silent movie.
Did you do the artwork in Moho or somewhere else and import it? What if any programs did you use besides Moho? I love the style. I especially liked the explosion light effect. Simple but very effective.
Could you give away a little how you did some of the frame by frame stuff (like the finger letting go, and hand switching)?
Hi,
thanks for the comments.
There is sound with it, you might need the latest version of QTime 6
to hear it.
The final edit was done in iMovie which I used to do the credits but the rest of the titles were done in Moho
The joining frames on the hand bits are done by having
a start position drawing (hand closed) and a finish position drawning (finger and thumb out).
I added two key frames where they met on the timeline.
On the hand closed I bent the finger and thumb points out a bit.
On the finger up, I bent the finger and thumb pionts toward the closed position a bit.
It's amazing how little you need to do to get a sense of flow between frames.
I drew the characters in Illustrator initially but have taken to drawing straight into Moho now.
More canine slaughter soon!
The fuzzy lines and shading was done with the layer
effects in Moho. What I love about these effects
is that they are keyframeable, both on and off
and intensity. Simple but genius!
