I can put as many video layers as I want in ASD

Post by stonum »

I suppose most of you already know this, but I just now realized it. You know how in anime studio debut 8, if you already have a video or movie in your project, and you try to add a second video or movie, it says "only one video layer is allowed". The truth is you can put as many videos in your project as you want . I just now made a movie with 5 videos in it using anime studio debut 8. I imagine most of you know how to do this already, but if somebody doesn't know, but would like to, post a reply and i'll explain how I did it. Have a good one,Mike

If i want 5 videos in my project, for example, 3 "energy clouds" (energy cloud is a video that comes with the anime debut program......File- Import- Video- Special Effects- Energy Cloud) and 2 of my own videos that i made with anime studio and saved to a folder on my pc (I always save my projects in .MOV format- I haven't tried this with the other movie formats), what I'll do is this: save the "energy cloud" video as a .ANME file to a folder on my pc. Then I'll save the 2 video projects that I made myself ONE AT A TIME (or actually any .Mov video) in .ANME format to a folder on my pc. So now i've got all these videos saved as .ANME files. You can open as many .ANME files as you want for a project.....(File- Import- Anime Studio Object). Of course, you have to keep the original .Mov videos that you saved as .Anme files. Just keep them in whatever folder they are already in. If you delete or move them, anime studio debut won't be able to find them. I can make some really crazy projects now that i can use as many videos as i want.
So in short, just use anime studio debut to save each .MOV video that you want to put into one project. Save each one in .ANME format. Save them one at a time. And don't move or delete the original .MOV files that you are using. Ok, thanks, have a good one.
