The Anime Studio 8 scripting interface for Lua has been updated for version 8.1 and can be found here:

Starting in the next update of Anime Studio I'm going to include all the scripting references in the installer package so that you'll have it as soon as you have the application.

On Windows 7 32-bit, and since v8 (I think), one can find the uptodate scripting interface documents (a little too technical, but better than nothing) under the following address:
- C:\Program Files\Smith Micro\Anime Studio Pro 9\Resources\Support\Extra Files

Re: Version 8.1 scripting interface
Hi, guys, I'm new to Anime Studio (sort of... long story...), but have some experience in programming (namely BlitzMax: An awesome cross-platform game programming language). Anyway, I'm really keen on having a go at expanding the features of ASP9 and will have a look at the aforementioned zip file.
I think it would be in a lot of people's best interest, though, if someone who is really familiar with LUA scripting in ASP (especially as it applies to version 9) would be willing to write a complete-ish guide on using LUA within ASP for the novice. I'll bet a lot of users here have some great ideas, but don't know where to start.
If the guide is good, maybe Smith Micro can include it as part of the ASP documentation in an appendix?
Take care,
Russell Jones
p.s. BlitzMax also has a LUA interface (a language within a language!), but I've never had a reason to use it. Otherwise, I may be writing the guide myself! LOL
