Anime Studio crashes when deleting audio layer

I've been experiencing a really annoying problem lately and I was wondering if I could get some help with it. The problem is, whenever I import audio to Anime Studio then delete it AS crashes then freezes and won't close for about a min or so (literally). It's very annoying because I've been animating a podcast and there's a lot of different scenes that I have to do this for which means a lot of crashes. And I need to import the audio to setup for lip syncing. Does anyone have any solutions, I'd be very grateful

I'm using Anime Studio Pro 6 and working on Windows 7

This has happened to me before.
You probably should break it up into sections,rather than putting it together all at once.

That's what I do, I take about 1 min or so audio clip then split it into separate sections. I then take those sections (usually about 7 secs or so) and import them in. So I don't think it's that, but thanks for the suggestion
