Just finished a 30sec. TV spot for a regional transportation provider. It was created in Anime Pro 9 and edited in Adobe After Effects. I would love to get your thoughts.
Thanks,

Re: 30 sec. Commercial
I thought the overall look and design was very nice. The walk at the end could have done with a bit more work but I suspect you were probably up against a tight deadline. Good work.
Re: 30 sec. Commercial
I completely agree. it sticks out like a sore thumb to me, and i will be correcting that on the next one. I have a contract to create 4 spots using the same characters in a small amount of time. Do you feel its pacing works? thanks for the input.
Re: 30 sec. Commercial
I've just watched it again and, yes, the pacing seems fine to me. The houses and backgrounds are very impressive.
Re: 30 sec. Commercial
Loved the style, especially the houses. Love the curvy design. The walk cycle was the only problem. Nice to see people making money with AS.
Re: 30 sec. Commercial
While I like the style, I think the layouts could be improved. Make sure the character sticks out from the BG (the driver in the car does not).
And the movements could do with a lot more dynamics. Skip that motion blur, you don't need it. Do faster movements and pauses with no movements in a nice rhythm. Also the camera zooms don't really make a point.

Re: 30 sec. Commercial
I was worried about over developing the back grounds but one approach I took was to not use out lines on the back grounds. The characters are the only thing with outlines. I felt this would help pop the characters out better. The movements do need better development. Thanks for the great advice, I will be utilizing these to improve this.

Re: 30 sec. Commercial
Agree with ST that the motion blur is unnecessary. I mean, 24 fps causes that effect on most TVs anyway, so no need to add it in. Motion blur in AS sucks.
But for the most part, excellent job!
Love the overall designs. And, as everyone has stated, the BGs are fantastic. Hard to believe you did those in ASP.
Best of luck to you!

Re: 30 sec. Commercial
The only thing that concerns me is I did not use a motion blur. I wonder if that happened with transfer of formats or do i need to turn off a motion blur that i was unaware of? thanks for all the great advice!
