mpeg video support

Post by 00o00 »

This is an easy one I guess. I haven't been able to import any mpeg videos and I don't think it would be to complicated to add that format.

Thanks!!!

I whole heartedly agree that MPEG should be added.. There are some great open source MPEG libraries that work on all 3 platforms, so it shouldn't be too hard...

Mostly, I want direct MPEG export. I render in HD 1080p @ 25fps, so you can only imagine how fast my hard disk gets filled with animation QT or uncompressed AVI files...

But.. it's OK, I would rather see more cool stuff with Color / Style Eyedroppers, Shader Scripts, and Improved Rendering Quality first...

I tend to agree with the inclusion of mpeg support into moho. On the linux platform, it would be the easiest movie format to include, since quicktime isn't available for mov (or avi).

Getting a working movie format into the linux version is something I would definitely like to see. :-)

i would love mpeg support. Maybe because it's compressed, but i find it runs faster on my system compared to VOB, or huge, uncompressed AVI files.
