Change layer order in a smart bone action?

Hi there everyone. I have to say that I LOVE the new AS 9. It's an amazing upgrade. I've been working this week with smart bones. If I'm turning a body and I need an arm to go in front of a torso or behind at a certain point, is there a way I can do that with layer order? Any help would be great! Looking good!
For now, you have to use z-depth sorting with very small increments to change orders... but we're told more animation channels will be supported with updates
