Moho Volenteers?

Post by spoooze! »

Hey,
I was wondering if anyone here would like some volenteer work for a project that I'm working on. It's really just for fun and a good chance for people on the forum to work together :)
Read about the project here:

http://home.earthlink.net/~jtn1989/hiya ... /id77.html

I am working on getting the script ready. This project will have all original music also.

What I'm looking for:

Animators who are good at doing action sequences (Belive me, we NEED to have good action sequence animators, just look at Lucky Bob's Time Machine and you'll see why)

Animators who are good at doing subtle sequences with a lot of dialogue (I will be doing ALL the lip syncing)

Anyway, if anyone is interested please PM or post here.

We will keep in contact mostly by PM and by the forum.

You will get FULL CREDIT for your work and your own profile on my website.

PM or post!

Okay. You can help. What kind of animation are you good at doing? May I see a website or any shorts you've done?

Hey Jorgy - there's a heap of good compression codecs you could use to make this easier to see. 60mb is a bit of an ask for the casual observer and the 9mb file is very small and hard to see.

Do you have h.264 as an output option? Or h.263? Both of these are very good. H.264 is unfortunately just for quicktime 7 owners at the moment, but a small sized h.263 would probably be alright. There are a million codecs and possibilities for the web.

From what I saw it looked really interesting, but I couldn;t really understand the very small pictures in the avi. I'd love to see more.

I mgiht be able to help out..

I am still learning how to draw and animate cartoon style characters, and have some amitious projects of my own (of course) but might be able to help out to get a little extra practice...

I am good at scenery, mouth and facial drawing / animation, particles, and also doing music for videos (i'm a music producer)..

Stuff I am working on getting better at includes drawing bodies and animating bodies (via bones and such)...

So, yeah.. let me know, maybe I can at least make you a little soundtrack or something... Could be fun.

Thanks,

Okay, excellent :D
I'll put you down as an animator for this project and the current project now.
Also, any kind of music work you do would be great :D

PM me your email address and I'll get you started.

Anyone else? I'm going to keep this topic up for as long as possible.

Thanks for the info - I didn't realize that this could have been part of the problem with people not being able to see it.

I am using cinelerra on linux, as well as premiere 5.1 for windows. I will investigate using h.263. Thanks!

Hey spoooze, how long will it take until you send me the stuff i need to start?
I mean i have to manage some things to be done and to be delayed and all that stuff that affects my life. So if you would say "i need about one week to get all things done" i can arrange that and have to plan things new and all, cause iam a busy man.

Erm... just tell me about this issue.

When I try to do a H323 output in premiere 5.1, the application crashes. :-(

I would be grateful if someone could convert my hires version to a lowres version that looked better and yet still had the detail necessary. Many many thanks in advance!
