Audio Problem, PLEASE HELP!!!

So...I opened AS up today to continue my current project. None of the mp3 files I had placed into the timeline were working. I checked every setting I could. The volume radio button was on, the audio levels were all at "1" as they should be - then when I tried adding a new mp3 I got the message back "audio file not supported." I have no idea what's going on...any help would be VERY appreciated.

Change the audio files to wav. There are free programs that will do this. The length will not change. If you still want to use mp3, add them into the video editor to replace the wav audio files.
