3D Experimentations in AS

Post by Lychee »

Hi guys and girls.

After tests of 3d modeling on the Curvy3D software (interesting software by the way), I wanted to use the Curvy's objects in Anime Studio.
I had no idea of the Anime Studio capacity to truly manipulate the 3d objects, and after reading this (viewtopic.php?f=13&t=24180), I thought that Anime studio had an limited interest in 3d.
In the end I realized that our software was capable to do the job like you can see in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ikup8HuxvQ

So i continued my experimentations, and here is the results:

Now i know, even if it is not simple to achieve and that the program is not made for that at the basis, i can do some interesting things with the 3d option of AS and I'm going to create full hybride puppets (3d + vectors) with this technic.

But there is some things who are not cool with the 3d in AS and i wish they will be improved in futures versions or with scripts.

Exemples:
-The stroke of the 3d objects looks ugly due to an hatched effect.
-The impossibility to disable the perspective effect on a layer
-The bones become flat when you rotate the 3d layer, because they work only in two dimensions...

All aid is welcome to improve the method, so here are my files for study:

Kind regards
