Stuff I have been messing with

Post by mrmoi2000 »

Hey, newbie here. Thought I'd just share a few samples.

Early test I made. Had the software a while finally installed it and made this:

Also played with one of the 11-second challenges. Not really happy with the movement:

I did a few scenes for Empire Uncut:

I feel a kindred spirit here since I entered the same contests and projects that you did. You have a good style, perfectly suited for Anime Studio.

I highly recommend entering contests as a way to get peer review, especially if you are going the self-teaching route. More often than not, the feedback will be critical, but you'll learn a lot about how your work stacks up to real world expectations.

Good luck and hope to see more.

Yeah, I started doing some of those to force myself into learning the software and to get back into practice of animating. One thing I am struggling with are the in and outs of the tweens and not having the motions so robotic.

Thanks for the feedback Neeters. I enjoy your animations a lot.

Yes, me too. It's all a matter of varying the timing, which is easier said than done. I found these webinars incredibly informative:

For me, after I set keyframes for the main poses, I add one or more breakdown keys and move them around favoring one pose or another (eg., ease in/out the stride pose in a walk, so the passing pose goes by quickly).

Anyway, thanks for the compliment and good luck!
