Hey guys!
So, I'm making this goatee, and I was just wondering if there was any way to connect it. It's something I've been wondering about for awhile now, and would help alot!
You can definitely weld the points. I want to say you just drag on over the other and the point will turn green and weld when you release the mouse but it's been a long time since I did that tutorial (I don't use it in practice) so there's probably some key stroke or something I'm forgetting.
See manual about creating shapes with a hole! It's simple.

That works when you're attaching an object to another object, but not itself.

Man, I feel stupid asking this but uh... Where is this manual?
And thank YOU in return. I've been thinking about how to put a five o'clock shadow on a character for weeks now and kept thinking I'd have to draw each dot of stubble. But your goatee picture would be WAY easier and achieve the same effect. Thanks for the idea!

Hahah, putting it in each dot would be nightmarish! Also, if you've been thinking about it for a couple of weeks, he may have already grown a five o'clock shadow. ;P
