Don't understand the styles
I have tried a number of times now to set up styles and it never works. In the end i just end up creating the look every time I create a new shape. I know it is supposed to be easy but I'm not getting it yet. It surely can't be all that difficult, is there a good clear explanation of this function out there that just deals with this topic?

Re: Don't understand the styles
I see that it operates as an overide, so you need to switch it on under the fill and strokes area (which remains unchanged). This quite confusing actually, if you want to alter the stroke or anything you have to go back to the original style. I guess I just have to learn to love it.

It's really baffling, I still don't get it. Any good tutorials that deal with this aspect.

Likewise I find that the styles interface is one of, if not the most, confusing aspects of Anime Studio for me too.
Very confusing as it hardly does what I intend it to do.
I even need a tool tip bar for the tool tip bar, because I don't understand what 'style pusher' means.
I try it and nothing happens.
However I'm getting more used to it now after watching a tutorial provided by Synthsin.
Here it is, linked to from within this thread...

The first big help to me was to realise that the function of that panel changes into different modes depending on what you select. But it always looks the same.
Personally I hope that the styles panel is redesigned in some future version so that it is more intuitive. Especially for beginners such as you and I.
That tutorial in that thread I've linked you to should help a lot though I think.

Re: Don't understand the styles
Thanks. That definitely helps. It's still going to take a while before that becomes second nature for me. I can see the logic and it works so now I just need to start doing it until it's comes naturally. I've also found some other tutorials http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUVtxyLSu8c and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9EO6gdXHIQ
There really is a lot of stuff hidden away in this program as you look into it.
