Tool_list.txt and scripting help
So when I upgraded to AS 9.5, as soon as i launched i noticed all of my scripts were disabled and all of my custom keyboard shortcuts were reset/erased. All the icons for my scripts still appeared in the tool space in AS, they just no longer functioned. I tried a computer search for all files tool_list.txt and for some reason there were 3 documents. Well, I edited all 3 of them trying to restore at least my previous shortcuts. Still, no change in AS. For instance, I edited all 3 documents so the shortcut for the dropper was "x". Going back into AS, it was still the default "L". What file is AS referencing the shortcuts from? Also anyone know why I have script icons but no functionality?? Getting really frustrated, any help would be very useful.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Tool_list.txt and scripting help
have you set the location for the custom content folder? (help / set custom content folder)
once you get there there's a folder scripts/tool with a file called _reference _tool_list.txt
copy this to be your _tool_list and edit that to include your custom tools / tool shortcuts etc.
the _tool_list now contains an AS version number. Older ones didn't and they won't work with 9.5
see the (9.5) manual pages 349/350

Sweet, thank you for your reply. I have a newborn at home so it might be a bit before I get to work it out, but when I get to it I'll post to let you know how it goes. Thanks again!

Well, I'm always irritated when newborns get posted in the "How to" section.

OK, so I tried it out, worked like a charm! It was the AS version number that was causing the problem, I fixed that, now everything's as it should be. Thanks again Hayasidist!

Re: Tool_list.txt and scripting help
glad to have been able to help another new parent .. my newborn is about a month ahead of yours ... and yes - ST's and your comments about "share.." and "how to.." had me and the other half roaring with laughter... (fwiw - more about our babe is in the conversation pit in the other place...).
and just in case anyone does actually have a "how to..." question or just wants to particpate in some distance-learning guided hands-on tutorial, please call our 900 number!
er .. no - don't ... really, no - don't .. we don't have one! ..... hmmmm
....yet...
