NEW Cartoon!

Post by spoooze! »

Here's my new cartoon that I just finished today. It took me about 3 or 4 weeks to do. 6 animators (including me) worked on this film.

Special thanks to Mr. Blaaa, Trevor Parschal, and Crazy_Dan! They all animated on this for me :D

Enjoy and post your comments!

A special sound at the Kitchen-fight would be nice and i find the fight a bit too long,
but very nice work ^^

Nice job guys.

I recognize the very "iMovie-ish" sounds and effects.

Only part that bugged me a little was the sound effect of the alarm...You may want to fade it out slightly or shorten the time is plays, it gets pretty anoying.

The story and animating look pretty good, it looks like you guys put a lot of time into it.

I pretty much liked it too  although i animated just splits of this sequel.
Well spoooze!, i'd really like to work again with you, cause your plots are so cool and next time (believe me) you can let me do more things to animate (internal joke).

Special regards, mr. blaaa. :D

Good progress, Spoooze.

Each work is better and better.

The suggestions that have for you this time are smaller. First, I agree with the poster above that the alarm is too much. Also, there were a couple of times that the rain sound would end before the scene or cut would change.

This is just my humble opinion, but I think that the sword and spoon fight goes on a bit too long. But I do realize that that is more of the "style", such as in the Matrix movies.

One thing that sticks out for me is that when a scene ends, the animation ends as the scene fades. The animation should continue on through the fade.

During the chase sequence, there was a fade-out and fade-in. It probably should be just a plain cut - the action is continuous and it just seemed to slow it down.

Finally, on the subject of pacing, it needs to be "tighter". Each shot can have a second or two cut from the beginning and the end, and that would help the pacing.

Okay, I have one more thought... LOL

The ending is a bit of a letdown. The last couple of animations you did had disclaimers about not having the work done, and I can "get" that kind of humor. But on one level, it seems like a bit of a gyp. Perhaps in your next work, you could start animating at the end? Just a suggestion.

Overall, I'm impressed with the progress that you've made. This time, I'm especially impressed that you were able to use the work of multiple animators and still make it look like your work - i.e. not a hodgepodge. It gelled together very well.

Keep going!

Don't worry, I have a BIG 30 min project in the works so you'll be getting a diaper load of work don't worry lol ;)
Thanks for just the bits you did of this one. They're really good.

Thanks Jorgy :D I'll keep those comments in mind!

P.S. I liked the motion blur effect. It wasn't overdone, and it was used effectively.
