Animation Blurrs?

I chose this video because they use Flash to animate and since Anime Studio and Flash are so similar I figured you can do the same things on it (animation wise).

How could I do animation blurrs on Anime Studio?

That animation was not done entirely in Flash. The character animation was done in Flash but it looks like they did a lot of compositing and effects like motion blur in another application.

Flash doesn't have motion blur. It only has "blur" in x or y. There are plugins you can find that "fake" a motion blur in Flash by key framing the Flash regular blur based on movement and direction of a movie clip. It's still not "real" motion blur.

There is motion blur layer effect in Anime studio (layer settings, motion blur tab). The motion blur in Anime Studio is not a "real" motion blur effect you would get in raster based applications like Premiere, After Effects or Final Cut. The motion blur in Anime Studio simply has settings to show previous frames at lower opacity and blur to "fake" a motion blur.

If you want "realistic" motion blur you would need to do this in post using another application.

So Anime Studio isn't capable of the "multiple eyes" and "swish" animation smears? Like in traditional animation.

Well, yes of course it is... uh... er... there aren't any filters or tricks for that. You have to "draw" that type of motion blur. There is no "automagical" filter for that in any application as far as I know. As an animator you have to learn how to do it by hand.

The sample you showed didn't have much "smear" type old school motion blurs. I saw mostly software filter based blurring and so just assumed that was what you were looking for. Oops! ;)

I'm confusing you I'm so sorry!

But yes I'd like to learn both, because for simple scenes I'd like the do multiple limbs and such.

But like how when he was falling and it smeared him to the other angle was so simple
Looking I just wanted to do that as well.

The sample you posted is "hand drawn" frame by frame animation. If there is any "multiple limbs" type motion blur it was done by the artist. I actually don't see any of that clearly but It could be I need to watch it carefully to see.

Motion effects can also include "squetch" (squash and stretch) to exaggerate the motion, along with blurring and "swoosh" lines etc.

As I said, that type of thing can't be automated. Unfortunately there is no "cartoon swooshy" motion filter. You have to decide on what you want, maybe sketch it out, and then create it.

There are other topics on the forum that cover the "multiple limb" motion trick. One that I remember uses a switch layer... don't have time to hunt down that topic. Do a search for "multiple limbs" or "multiple arms" or similar. It's a relatively recent topic. Not that old. I forget exactly how it was done but it seemed relatively simple.

So there isn't any way to make it look.. Like a splatter? XD

I'm so sorry if I'm confusing you. But like a blurr sometimes looks like a blurry scribble.

^ Have you tried Motion blur, from Layer settings panel?

You might need to do some editing afterwards, but in short - set frame count, skip and opacity*, make the desired action lasting longer (if it last a second in real time, make it last at least 2 or 3 time longer) in order to have more frames on which Motion blur will be applied. Later on, adjust the timing of that sequence with some video editing app.

Or simply, follow heyvern`s old school suggestion ,)

Can you make the motion blur not "blur" like can it be more visible?
