Create Save As Shortcut

Post by GiorgioGore »

Hi All, this is my first topic here. I'm a mac user and every time I finish a project for my clients, I need to save an .anme file for each layer of animation (so they render everything separately for comp). It would mean a huge time save for me to be able to just press cmnd+shift+s and get done with it... 2 clicks means a lot of time when you have to do this for 150 shots for a full episode.
I've tried the tools list file, but those are (as the name indicates) tools options, not "file" options.
I couldn't find any answer to this, so hope this topic will be useful for many people.
Thanks
PS: I use anime studio pro 9.1

There is no way to add a "save as" shortcut to v9.1.

However a "save as" menu shortcut was added to Anime Studio v9.5.

I don't know for certain but I'm pretty sure that the upgrade to 9.5 from 9.1 cost money, and not even sure if 9.5 is still available now that v10 is out. If you want to upgrade might as well go v10.

THANKS DUDE, I'LL MAKE SURE TO CONVINCE THE WHOLE WORK CHAIN TO MOVE DIRECTLY TO V10. EVERYTIME WE GET TO RENDER STAGE WE HAVE TO SAVE AS EVERY SINGLE SHOT ONCE FOR EACH ANIMATED ELEMENT IN THE SCENE, SO COMPOSITION CAN WORK.

Forums ARE people...
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

A couple of points that would effect the response you get and "how fast".

1. First off, the "Save as" is already in v9.5. You read the post and figure someone else will respond or the user will figure it out.

2. You are a brand new member of the forum. Only 24 hrs between your question and your total and ignorant "flip out". 24 hrs may seem like a long time when you desperately need an answer, but if you need something that fast you can't rely on a forum response. This isn't FedEx or the post office (which also takes at least 24 hrs or more to delver). ;)

When participating in a forum for the first time it's not a good idea to yell at people for not responding immediately. You have to look to the future. You may need more help down the road. Your first impressions on the members here will determine how motivated they are to help you later.

You could simply have "bumped" the post with a friendly reminder. Depending on when you post, it could be that your question slipped past or didn't get noticed. I know that many people use the "show recent posts" link to see new topics. If your post was "new" along with a whole pile of other "more popular" posts it could get missed or passed by. After a certain amount of time, your "new" post is no longer new.

I've been participating on this forum for YEARS. Often I post and no one responds. It happens. It's not personal. :)

EDIT: Please turn off your caps lock.
