SOLVED: Shift+click for deselect not working

It may be a bug with my setup but I'm asking just to make sure.
I use Anime Studio 10 and when i select some points with the create shape tool works liek always but if I want to deselect a point I usually keep pressing Shift and drag the selection box over that point and it deselect it (or select it if it's not) but in version 10 this doesn't work anymore.
Is there another way I can deselect a point when I want to create a shape because as it is right now I need to start selecting the points that form the shape all over again.

Deselect with the select points tool is now ALT-click. I prefer both add to and subtract from selection to be shift, but it was thought that the separate modifiers would put it closer to how other applications work.

I will be modding my own tools to use the single shift modifier for both.

Yeah, I was used to Shift and I liked it more that way, but what can you do.
