Re: Eyes Created in Anime Studio Pro
Nice eyes! The animation of the looking different directions is very convincing. The only thing I would adjust is the blink. It can't tell for sure, but I don't see any frames where the eyes are part open/part closed. Adding that would make it look more convincing and if the eyelid was slightly curved, it would add to the three dimensional look of the eyes. Nice work!

The eyes LOOK real good.
Very 3D LOOKING. I didn't really think about it till Lwaxana mentioned it, But, yes the blink is a little to fast. BUT, IF that's the look you were going for then forget what we say. Good Job.
I feel like I'm being stared at. I got to go.

Nice looking eyes pat!
Back to the old argument about the light reflection on an eye... I, personally, like the reflection to stay at the same spot on the eye when the eye pans around.

Agreed, the eyes look very good but the white reflections shouldn't move because it's reflecting a fixed light source.
Re: Eyes Created in Anime Studio Pro
The cornea on the human eye actually bulges outward, causing the highlight to move with the eye, so it's biologically correct to have the highlight follow the iris, but an animator could make the stylistic choice of having the highlight in a fixed position.Pinesal wrote:Agreed, the eyes look very good but the white reflections shouldn't move because it's reflecting a fixed light source.
I was completely unaware of this, until I learned from this thread.

I stand somewhat corrected. It's not fixed but it it's not stick onto the iris either.

This looks good and creepy at the same time. As others mentioned, the blink was sort of abrupt. I didn't even recognize that it was a blink at first.
As for the reflection, it moves as it should but is maybe a bit "too" white. A bit of transparency would add that final touch of realism.
