My New Logo

Post by Markster »

Just a simple test, similar to the CC logo test, but improved.

It's very basic. I don't like it that much. Maybe the letters are too small and there is a lot of empty space.

Rotating logos are so 90's ... As a test, OK. As a logo, don't.

- Is it MV or VM? Unless you want to show both, get rid of that back side view.
- A good logo uses a good typeface. Since you use M and V, the M should have slanted stems. Use a site like http://www.veer.com/products/fonts/finder/, choose a category, then type in your two letters and enjoy the results.
- Since it's two easy letters, you can build them in AS and tweak the points until you have a unique result.
- AS is an animation program. So why not animate the letters in themselves?
- Think of reducing the appearence. The outline is not necessary. (If this were a professional logo job, I'd go with just one flat colour to avoid problems with print and fax. Also, more elegant.) Skip that shadow.

There's really entirely too much empty space. If you had text above and below the logo that might work better. It would also help the viewer to know in which order the letters are supposed to go.
