Making imported sprites crisp

Post by trantornator »

Hi everyone,

I made a little short animation using a bunch of old game sprites. Now when I rendered it, they all came out looking quite blurry.

Now I looked in the forums already and saw that there is a properties setting for importing new images that can be set to not smooth them out. Unfortunately I already have all of this set up and redoing it would NOT be fun.

I also saw that there are several options that can be set for the individual layers and I turned off smooth layers and ant-aliasing to no effect.

Any way to changet he settings for all the layers (over 50 in this animation) in one fell swoop?

anme files are plain text files, so you could create a duplicate and openin a text editor, find the setting you want to change, and do a search/replace on all.

To find the setting, create a new file, import just one image, duplicate the layr, set one to the desired settings, and have a look inside.

Dude, that worked!

Note though, you can't use Notepad (it re-writes something in the header of the file and AnimeStudio won't recognize it any more).

The value in question is "sampling_mode" and if you don't want it to be dithered, you have to set it to 0.

Thanks again!
