"3D Silouhetting" literally draw 3D

Post by Lychee »

Here is another demo of my technique I called 3D Silouhetting.
What do you think about it?

Impressive. A lot of work right there.
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Holy cow!

This is one of those really cool ideas that looks complex but is actually relatively straight forward and simple... maybe not simple in the amount of work required but it's just cool as heck and easy to understand.

I wish I had thought of this! I have a 2.5d rig that achieves "some" of this but isn't based on layer rotation just point movement which limits the effect of 3D. I was actually simulating 3D movement moving a bazillion bones... when... <sigh> I could have achieved the effect using layer rotation and fewer bones.

What I really like about this is that you don't have to "3D" everything. You could simply use as much or as little as needed to get the results you need.
