is this possible?
Hi everyone ~ I'm wondering if it's possible to edit home movies in anime pro 9.5? I just want to cut parts out, maybe turn some parts b/w, etc. I am able to open them up in anime pro, but of course there are no points in my timeline for it, so I don't know how I can accomplish much. Just wondering.... thanks ~ Sabina

It`s not that comfortable as in editing software but doable.
- Import the raw video and then with Alt+LMB and Alt+RMB adjust "starting" and "ending" point on Timeline
- Export the selection of the video
- Adjust "starting" and "ending" point again due to your preferences
- Export the newly selected portion of the video
... repeat as much needed
- Import all exports in a desired order (it`s easier if you scroll to the end of the impoerted clip before importing new one / it would align them)
- Export final video.
If you have enough RAM you could import raw video and duplicate video on as many layers as you need separate clips and then, on duplicates, with RMB adjust "in" and "out" points on Timeline (green and red triangles) and fine tune with Alt+LMB and Alt+RMB to adjust "starting" and "ending" point. After that you`ll need just one export.
Filtering could be done trough the Layers option.

as Maestral says - usually better to use a video editor. Which platform are you on? - there may be free software (e.g. Windows movie maker)
Another option on using AS to do the edit (if there are only a few sequences to cut out) is to import multiple copies of the video and turn visibility on/off as needed, and then use the sequencer to align the visible fragments that you want.
Colourisation / convert to b/w can be done with vector layers over the video layers.
for b/w: make a shape with a uniform colour (e.g. black) and use blend mode Saturation
for colourisation: make a shape with the colour you want to overlay and use blend mode Hue.

Windows MM would be better than using AS to edit your home movies.
